Girls and boys scouts visit La Leona Eco lodge

At the end of September 2009 a group of twenty children and scout leaders spent a weekend at La Leona Eco lodge.

The sustainability department of the lodge had organised several activities for the kids as for example a sustainability tour, a workshop about the biology and conservation of marine turtles as well as a night walk for watching marine turtles on the beach.

Additionally the children enjoyed a guided tour to Corcovado National Park. Our guide Ifi in cooperation with Luis, a park ranger from the Ministry of Environment (MINAET) spoke about the importance of the rainforest, its trees and the relations between the different organisms.

In our opinion it was a great experience for all the kids and we hope to welcome them back soon for enjoying their energy, motivation and dedication for a better future of the nature and the planet and also for their personal happiness.

Thanks to all the kids who participated!
