This is a short hike on a forest trail near the beach in Corcovado National Park. It is a perfect hike for families, kids or elder people
The trail runs through secondary rain forest and offers a variety of ground vegetation, bushes, lianas, ferns, plantain trees, palm trees and many almond trees – the favourite food of the Scarlet Macaw. You can see monkeys and various other animals like White Nosed Coatis, agoutis, trogons, curassows, or even snakes. At the end of the hike you can enjoy a refreshing swim in Madrigal River which is in the forest and close the sea.
