Rio Carate Waterfall tour

A hike that begins on the beach, then follows the Rio Carate until you arrive at a crystal clear and beautiful waterfall, inviting you to dive in its refreshing waters.

This river is born in the Parque Nacional Corcovado, giving these waterfalls special power, one you can feel while diving in its waters, all the energy and life that this Corcovado forest has reserved for each one of its visitors.

On the way back we will experience one of the activities which years ago attracted many people to come to these rustic lands. This is the gold extraction activity which we wish to show you in an artisan form, one that will not harm the ecosystem. You will be able to enjoy and feel the emotion of seeing the magic yellow of gold at the bottom of the "cateadora" (the tool used to do this type of work). This is where we end our tour of Rio Carate Waterfalls and artisan gold-diggers, returning to the lodge full of memories and energy from such a wonderful day, and, if luck was on your side, with a little bit of gold as a gift from the majestic Rio Carate. This is a difficult but amusing hike, for the stronger ones in search of new challenges (you will have to do some climbing and get wet).
